When I first started to coach Carolyn, she was already starting to get a steady stream of visitors, and a couple of sales a week. However, I knew I could help her improve. First off, I wanted to get her to the top of her search terms in which she was number three on both with a company/organization called beliefnet taking spots one and two in both terms. After some advanced tactics, and a couple of tweaks to her site. She not only took the nuber one spot, but the number two spot as well.

Here are Carolyn's comments:

"I found ABDevelopment through a book I bought from MoneyHome.com. My website, http://www.myweightlossfriend.com/ is a weight loss support site for women, and in when I joined you was about a year old. My intent was always to send out a dailyinspirational one-minute newsletter/recipe based on my experiences as a Weight Watchers leader. (I have struggled with my weight my entire life and spent 5 years as a leader after successfully losing and keeping my weight off. One year ago I left WW in order to promote the business end of my website.)

When I joined you, I had a terrific, functioning website, but NO money coming in. My attempt to make my subscription a paid item had fallen flat on its face in the summer of 2004. I had made some money with a few products – especially my Holiday Weight Loss Survival GuideBook For the Christmas Holidays.

I had spent a great deal of money (thousands) – way more than I ever planned on – with another marketing/coaching organization. They’d helped me tune things up and create some additional products, but I was really in a black hole of not knowing what to do. So were they. AAArrrghghghgh! Thousands of hours, thousands of dollars, for so little return. Agonizing and very defeating.

My first coach was Joshua. He immediately zeroed in on my keywords, showed me how to work my meta tags, optimize through Overture listings and best of all – came up with a MARKETING PLAN to turn my freebie ladies into paying subscribers! HOORAY! In that first month I made$1,000 as many if my free subscribers (not all – but a respectable percent) converted to paid. EXCITING! My page rankings went up from 0 to 2.

We optimized my other product – inspirational custom glass bead bracelets and set a better price on them. These are powerful reminder toolsfor my buyers who order them with their own special reminder words i.e. “Believe” or “I Can” or “Persist”, etc. My price is 4 for $10, although it’s going up SOON!

I also learned the importance of LINKING. LINK, LINK, LINK.

Since then, I continue to add new subscribers and am earning $300-$400 a month … there’s a glimmer of hope and great things to come.

When Joshua was transferred, Jacob became my coach. More lessons on linking and my Google Rankings are now at 3 – pretty respectable
In the truly glutted weight loss corridors.

Best yet – my key words (weight loss prayers, inspirational bracelets) I come up NUMBER ONE, even ahead of BeliefNet.com, an enormous organization!

Anyway – I have a LOOOOOONG ways to go before I tap the incredible potential of reaching out to women who need a friend and hug everyday with their weight loss goals, but it’s coming.

At Jacob and Josh’s insistence, I’m develping products to go along with my wonderful daily newsletter. I’m currently compiling my writings of the past several years into several volumes and am also recording CDS with weight loss empowerment statements over pretty music to “reprogram” negative self-talk. NEAT!

I’m also producing another CD to go along with my Christmas “Holiday Weight Loss Survival Guide Book” that I sold last Christmas. It’s Christmas Carols with the words changed to create positive weight loss messages and they are a riot. I’ve got a terrific vocalist and I’ll let you know when the CD is out in Septmber.

Anyway – You guys have helped me more than I can say. I feel like I’m ON MY WAY with a journey that’s much, much more rewarding than I had ever dreamed possible.
